Swedish is a classic Swedish furniture producer with a strong public and domestic roots. Many modernist architects were universal designers, who understood not only the design of the houses, but also the interior, the furniture and almost the clothes that the owners could wear. The founder of Sweden, Yngve Ekström, is no exception.
Yngve Ekström, along with Alvar Aalto, Bruno Mathsson, Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjaerholm, was at the heart of a generation of designers who brought the concept of “modern Scandinavian” to the world.
