Benjamin Hubert’s design techniques emphasize clean lines and his creations meet the current demand for functional object design that can fit perfectly into any space. He draws his inspiration from nature and this is more than clear in his latest project named after the sea-washed stones of the sea, the Pebble series.
His concern for the environment is emphasized in most of his concepts where sustainable materials are used and advanced technical methods are adopted. Take the example of Float for which reused Portuguese cork is used or the Gradient project where simple junction details minimize the impact on the environment. Nature is everywhere, from inspiration to materials. Ceramics, wood and cork are just some of Hubert’s favorite materials. Despite its simplicity, the designer manages to bring out its best features, always bringing a touch of modernity and softness. Hubert’s technique is an evolving process, well defined in each new project. Its heavy, light, simple and elegant desk appears as one of the last strong points of the world of design.
